"The Last Exit" by Herrick Edward Morgan
A wonderful tribute to the last days of this historic San Francisco landmark. After serving the Bay Area from 1928-1972, the park was closed on September 4, 1972.
In the lower left corner is the date "9/2/72" adjacent to the Artist's Signature.
A wonderful image of "Laughing Sal" whose was perched inside the Fun House and whose contagious laugh could be heard from all along the midway. Laughing Sal is seen making her way out of the park consoled by a oversized clown and a small man dragging his guitar. Please see close-up photo below.
Great Vintage Collectible, Circa 1972. From the massive Marilyn Blaisdell Collection, the owner of "San Francisciana" store located off the main entrance to the Cliff House. The store closed in 1982.
Like New/Near Mint Condition.
Would most certainly look beautiful framed and under glass!
